Because no one has ever lived or will ever live this life I am attempting to live, with my gifts and challenges and past and people. Every life is an unprecedented experiment. This life is mine alone. So I have stopped asking people for directions to places they’ve never been. There is no map. We are all pioneers.

Untamed ~ Glennon Doyle

Dear Survivor & Supporters,

Hi, I’m Christy, I am on a mission to change the experience for survivors seeking accountability, justice, and healing.

Survivors, I’m here to support you on the PATH you choose.

Supporters, I’m here to provide information, consultations, and training on how to provide trauma-informed, survivor-centered, culturally-sensitive, and dignity-affirming support to survivors.

In Solidarity,

Christy

Want to know more about my background?

You’ve come to the right place

I have used each rock that has been thrown at me to build a path to where I am today. I am a survivor and co-survivor of child sexual abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, and workplace sexual harassment.

I had lived with all that trauma without addressing it or speaking about it publicly for 37 years; until it happened to someone I love. Seeking accountability, justice, and healing for them forever changed the trajectory of my life. I will no longer be silent.

Seeking justice was like stumbling along in a foreign country where each person I asked for help didn’t explain anything in a language I could understand.

I spent eight years seeking criminal and civil justice for my loved one. All of the challenges I faced along the way were the catalyst for me leaving behind my 20-year career and becoming an advocate.

I started on the path to advocacy by becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for foster kids. I volunteered for numerous organizations that taught child sexual abuse prevention. After seeing what was missing from all those programs, I founded my own non-profit Educate to Eliminate and created the most comprehensive child sexual abuse prevention program.

At the same time, I began my training to become an advocate through the Department of Justice. I became a certified sexual assault and domestic violence counselor and volunteered to sit with victims of sexual assault during their forensic evidence (rape kit) exam.

I had one goal in mind at the time. I wanted to work as a survivor advocate in a civil litigation firm because this is what I needed most throughout my entire civil litigation process and they did not exist. They still do not exist. I am on a mission to change that.

I now work for a civil law firm that specializes in representing survivors of sexual assault and employees who have been sexually harassed or discriminated against at work.

From Survivor to Advocate

I am a co-author of the best-selling international award-winning book Stop the Silence | Thriving After Child Sexual Abuse. Myself and other survivors share our experiences, grounding techniques, and guides to healing.

I am currently writing a book on how to become an advocate.
