Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you, doesn’t mean you can, should, or need to do it alone.”

~Lisa Olivera

Dear Survivor & Supporters,

Let’s talk healing.

Healing is a journey without a final destination. Healing is non-linear with several paths to choose which might include some switchbacks. I am here to help you navigate the highs and lows and challenges on your journey. Your inner compass plus my compass-ion and experience make a great travel team.

Lighting the way,

Christy

As a survivor advocate who works in a civil law firm that represents survivors of sexual assault and sexual harassment, part of my job is to provide survivors with resources to help them heal. I do a lot of research and personally experience many of the techniques before giving a referral. We are unique and what works for me might not work for you and vice versa. The possibilites are endless but I find that when someone I know can share their personal experience, I feel safer to try it for myself.

Not sure how to move forward after trauma?

You’ve come to the right place

Supporting Survivors Navigating Their Healing Path

Survivors have their own unique story, experience, and needs. I help you find your path forward, whatever that may be. No matter where you are on your healing journey, I want to help you move forward. It is possible to achieve post-traumatic growth.

There is no way of measuring trauma. What might be traumatic for you may not be traumatic for others. There is no way to measure the amount of sexual abuse or assault one has experienced. It all matters. Your experience and your symptoms are valid. You do not have to go through this on your own. You deserve help.

Everyone moves forward in their own way and at their own pace. Research shows that trauma experiences get stuck in the body. There are many different methods that have been developed to help relieve the body and the mind of the trauma.

I can help you find what works for you.

One-on-one guidance

We go at your pace and use what works for you. This is not the same as therapy. I have been trained and certified as a counselor of sexual assault and domestic violence through the Center for Community Solutions and the State of California Office of Emergency Services (CalOES). I am not a therapist, that is a different skill set (and licensing) that can also be helpful for you and I can provide you a referral to therapists if needed.

Survivor Retreats -

Retreats in beautiful, private settings. Empowering and inspiring rituals, creative art projects, trauma-informed yoga, sound healing, self-care tips and exercises, healing and healthy food. I host several retreats throughout the year. I do my best to collect donations to keep the cost minimal or free for survivors.

Support Groups -

Small, private support groups for survivors of sexual abuse or assault.

Healing Modalities -

Trauma-Informed massage therapy for adult survivors of sexual assault or child sexual abuse. I am a certified holistic health practitioner / massage therapist with 1000 hours of training and decades worth of experience. I provide this service because I benefit greatly from getting massages and I found that many survivors do not feel safe getting massages. I wanted to offer a safe space and technique that is trauma-informed from start to finish because massage is so beneficial to our bodies.
